Meet Adam

Starting Next Step Services has been a long road for me. According to my mother, when I was a baby, my dad bought a computer. This was in 1979, so it was quite a beast. He believed that technology was the future and he wanted his son to know how to use a computer. I don't remember this, but that old computer was always there. In fact, it cost so much that he didn't replace it until I was in high school, so we spent quite a few years together.

I guess you could say that technology is in my blood. I absolutely love creating new ways of solving problems. One problem that's been eating at me has been small businesses. I got to know several business owners over the years and I found myself rooting for local businesses since they provide real careers for so many people. At the same time, I'm drawn to the amazing things large corporations and chains can do with technology. These huge businesses can invest in slick, easy to navigate websites, convenient mobile apps and really informative marketing.

I've met so many small business owners who are absolutely fantastic at what they do, but they don't "do" strategy or technology. Since they also don't have the budget to hire an I.T. department or a social media team, they get pummeled by companies that can.

I want to fix that. The good news is that none of this "internet marketing" is hard. All you have to do to be successful is take the time to practice the skills and the time to consistently implement them. If you can do that, we can teach you what you need to know.

I have owned and operated McDonald Niklaus Framing for more than 23 years. Throughout the years I have done my best to advertise and promote my business on my own. We first started using Next Step Services in 2013 to design our company website. Adam provided us with a user friendly site that highlights our firm, our agents and the properties that we promote. Adam has great design skills and actually provides a meaningful thought process with all of his planning and ideas.

Adam presented us with a way to enhance our annual Christmas In the Park so that families getting photos taken with Santa Claus could not only get them in print on the night of the event, but also get them emailed to them to share with family and friends. He personally volunteers at the event to make sure the process is seamless.

Since then Adam has pointed out to us the need for consistent marketing strategies and design to tie all of our advertising together. He recently worked closely with us to design an 18 page presentation brochure for our agents to use as a tool with their customers and clients, along with a matching folder that is very professional looking. He included actual photos of homes we have marketed, as well as photos of our local area.
